San Xavier del Bac Mission

This mission is incredible!  Built in the late 1700s by the Franciscans, it is partially restored and is also known as "The White Dove of the Desert".   I can imagine sitting inside as a child, enthralled with scenes surrounding me, paintings, carvings, relics, and even statues dressed in clothing!  I am sure I would never have even listened to the sermons, I would be listening instead to the stories in my head.
